Vesugen

Vesugen is a bioregulatory tripeptide (Lys-Glu-Asp) that specifically targets vascular endothelial tissue through modulation of gene expression programs governing endothelial cell function and vascular homeostasis. Research has demonstrated its effects on endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) expression and nitric oxide bioavailability, endothelin-1 and prostacyclin balance in vascular tone regulation, endothelial cell proliferation and vascular repair capacity, adhesion molecule expression (VCAM-1, ICAM-1, E-selectin) and leukocyte recruitment, von Willebrand factor production and hemostatic balance, and age-related endothelial dysfunction reversal. Studies in aging vascular models have shown improvement in flow-mediated dilation responses and reduction in arterial stiffness parameters. Vesugen's epigenetic mechanism of action makes it particularly valuable for studying the molecular basis of vascular aging and endothelial senescence, complementing pharmacological approaches that target specific vascular signaling pathways.
