Prostamax

Prostamax is a bioregulatory tetrapeptide targeting prostate tissue function through modulation of gene expression in prostatic epithelial and stromal cells. Research has investigated its effects on prostate cell differentiation and proliferative balance, androgen receptor signaling modulation, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) expression regulation, smooth muscle tone in prostatic tissue, inflammatory cytokine modulation (particularly IL-6, IL-8) in prostate tissue models, and support for normal epithelial-stromal interactions. Studies in aging prostate models have shown restoration of normal proliferative indices and reduction of benign hyperplastic changes. Prostamax's bioregulatory approach addresses age-related prostate changes at the gene expression level, making it a complementary research tool to pharmacological agents that target specific receptors (alpha-blockers) or enzymes (5-alpha reductase inhibitors).
