Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Pal-KTTKS) is a lipopeptide that mimics a subfragment of type I procollagen and stimulates extracellular matrix synthesis in dermal fibroblasts. Research has shown upregulation of type I and III collagen, fibronectin, and glycosaminoglycan production at very low concentrations.
