CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of the first 29 amino acids of GHRH with four amino acid substitutions to prevent enzymatic degradation. The DAC modification — a lysine residue linked to a maleimidopropionic acid spacer — allows it to covalently bind to serum albumin in the bloodstream, extending its half-life from approximately 30 minutes to 6-8 days.
