GHRP-2

GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide 2) is a synthetic hexapeptide that functions as a ghrelin mimetic by binding to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a (GHS-R1a). It is considered one of the most potent stimulators of GH release studied in preclinical and clinical settings, producing robust GH pulses in a dose-dependent manner. GHRP-2's mechanism involves both pituitary-level GH release and hypothalamic-level GHRH stimulation, creating an amplified secretory response. Research has demonstrated it promotes GH secretion with moderate effects on appetite stimulation (less than GHRP-6), and may influence cortisol and prolactin levels at higher doses. Studies have also explored its effects on sleep architecture, specifically its ability to enhance slow-wave sleep duration.
